The school that im going to makes the students take a diagnostic test to get into Calculus 1, and if they fail you can't take the class

The diagnostic test should cover the basic principles of pre-calc and advanced algebra. If you took these classes in high school and did well in them, then you should pass the test. If you don't pass, then you will have to take pre-calc to get into calculus. Don't worry about it too much, these days the majority of college students have to take remedial courses.

Depending on your major and your college, you may not even need calculus to graduate (I never took calculus as a liberal arts/social science major.) Check with your advisor when you register for classes.
