I have a 4.5 gpa I take honors and AP no regular classes. I rank 16 out of 700, I got a 1080 0n the SAT and a 20 on the ACT. I get A's and B's and if I keep it up will have an above 4.0 for all four years of high school. Do you think I can get into a good college?

Why even ask that? A 4.5 GPA with Honors and AP classes is very good and that is why you're doing them and you know you're doing well. If you keep up the grades, like you said, I'm sure you will be accepted into State universities of your choice. However, your SAT and ACT scores are very low, they don't even meet my state's scholarship standard so you may want to work on that. Study up real hard and retake one or both of them and you'll probably do better considering you have room to improve since you said "all four years" implying you are not graduating that soon. Then only use those better scores when applying to colleges. You have nothing to worry about f you keep thsoe grades up and even if you do slip a little, keep it in the 3.9-4.5 range and you'll have no worries, just those test scores need improvement. Like someone said above, besides your grades be sure to focus on extracurricular activities too. Get involved in a club or two or a sport and do some volunteer work so it gives you a good basis for your personal statement for college and so you are a well-rounded individual. Whatever you decide, sports or clubs, it is better to be in 1 or two sports or clubs and be very devoted to them than 10 different ones and not that devoted.

To the top contributor girl below, the scale is on a 4.0 scale but being in honors and AP classes gives you a boost and usually an extra .5 on your gpa for each one you take if you do well in them. So even if this girl has a few B's, it wouldn't affect her GPA because all the extra points she gets for being in honors covers the damage of B's. Like she said though, if you're a freshman or sophomore there is room to improve on the testing but as for a junior or senior, they are fairly low.

There are a lot of things I don't understand here. Is your GPA out of 4.0, because of your Honors and AP classes? You are saying that you get As and Bs, but frankly, if you got Bs, your GPA wouldn't be anywhere close to a 4.5. I also don't know what year you are in now. If you are a senior, your SAT and ACT would be disturbingly low, and you might have to go to a community college, but if you are a freshman or sophomore, it may just be that you haven't yet learned all you need to in order to do the test well.

There seems to be a major mismatch between your grades and your test scores. If you are getting close to having to take the tests so that it will count, you might want to do a prep course, so that you can bring those scores into line with the rest.

Of course you can get into college!

The only thing that is a little worrisome is your SAT score.
For someone who is taking such challenging classes and succeeding you'd think that your score would be higher. Average SAT score is 1540, you should probably retake it.
Also getting into a good college requires extracurriculars, like community service and clubs. Hopefully you've been doing those but if you still have another year, I would try and fit as much stuff as you can handle into your schedule. Just don't over work yourself! So improve your test scores and you just might get into your first choice.

Congratulations! I went to the University of California, Davis (Class of 2003). Significant recollections have been beginning my eyes to connections among the more than a few disciplines I was once learning. As you growth via your average schooling necessities (i.e., lessen department publications external your principal discipline of research), you can on the whole discover a few commonalities, an identical veins of notion, and one regular that I'll by no means omit: the whole thing you research involves a research of historical past, be it regularly or the exact historical past of the field to hand. The extra you'll recognize how your principal suits into the bigger image of human historical past, the extra gratifying and enriching your university enjoy can be. Both your Sats and Acts scores are low, I would retake both. Otherwise you have a really good chance.

I would mention any of your extra-curricular activities or community involvement. If you have good scores and good axtra-curriculars, they will probably move to your favor. :)
