I am positive i chose the right college, I absolutely love it and i got an AMAZING scholarship. But lately i have been having second thoughts, like maybe I should wait a year before going and travel, or work, or volunteer locally. Like REALLY nervous, I don't know why. Is it normal for 6 weeks before you leave for college to be worried and not wanting to go anymore?

I play golf and people say I am very good at it and I have a choice of going to a college in Boston with a full golf scholarship, and then my future would be sorted. The college would be Harvard or Boston College but I do not have very good grades and I am scared I could not keep up with the work. And I don't like golf as much as soccer. But I want to go to college in California probabley USC and hopefully get a scholarship there, but I have very little chance in getting it. So what do I pick????? HELP

I just finished a year of university, and within that year I managed to pass all my courses but one.

I feel ashamed and depressed ever since I saw that F. I'm not going to stop trying, but rather continue to year 2 retaking that course and trying my absolute best to get it.

But now that it's summer, I don't really want to constantly dwell on the fact that I did so poorly. But my parents consistently remind me of how I failed that course, and every time my heart drops and I feel like I shouldn't even bother continuing on because I feel like a failure.

I usually end up feeling miserable and angry at myself and at whoever bothered to remind me that I suck.

Should I always be feeling bad? because I'm at a point where I hate my parents (especially my father) for reminding me how stupid I am and how I failed.

I get enough of that hatred from myself. I don't need my dad to tell me he doesn't care about my feelings and that he likes to make me feel bad reminding me of my failure.

I'm wondering if i got what it takes to be a doctor, only as far as intellectual skills to go through med school go. I'm not talking about motivation or other human skills. Is there a test i can take online that checks the areas of intelligence required to be a doctor (e.g memory, language)? Something similiar to MCATs, but that don't require any studying?

I applied to a University of California school for the fall semester and I got in. Problem is: the school requires that all prospective students earn grades of "C"s or better. I got a "D" in a history class, which to this day, is heavily disputed.

The teacher initially gave me an "F" but changed it to a "D" so I could graduate on stage, but even this "charity" grade is far below me. I turned in everything and did everything I was supposed to do. I even counted the work I got back and discovered that I had a "B" average. He gave me the bad grade BECAUSE HE DOESN'T LIKE ME! I've appealed this grade a few times already and I've had meetings with teachers, but according to my principal, "by law," she "cannot force a teacher to change" my grade.

I just called the UC school. They told me that my imminent rejection is highly likely and that there's nothing I can do about it. Deadlines to submit final High School transcripts are on July 15.

WTF CAN I DO?!!

I knew someone who had a friend that was expelled from school because he was caught peeing on the dorm public bathroom floor and was believed to have did it 20 times over a period of 2 months. He also lost all his credits as a junior. Did he deserve this punishment?

will i be missing out on anything..like getting an Associates degree..Or will it make me look like I couldn't "start something and finish"..i hear that a lot.

I just want to transfer to the other school asap and get adjusted to the atmosphere.

(by the way, i know community college is a whole lot cheaper, but the transfer school i plan on going to is only about $1000 more in tuition because they are both CUNY schools)

i know that the Associate Degree Nursing programs at community colleges have long waiting lists. does anybody know if there are long waiting lists for these bachelor degree programs? Are they difficult to get into? Do they offer classes so that people who work full time jobs can still attend??

Any kind of extra information will be greatly appreciated

I am an international student in the UK, in my penultimate year in high school. I want to apply to Princeton and MIT, and was wandering how I would fair when applying. I have 9 A* at GCSE and I am predicted 43 IB points. These include top grades in science and maths. Furthermore, I am a senior prefect at my large school and I take part in a number of different extra curricular activities. In light of all of this could someone please tell me, if they know, how I would fair.

My original first choice is NYU, but i need a composite score of at least a 27. i plan on retaking my ACT in September, and then taking my SAT in october so i can apply early decision by Nov. 1st for NYU. But i think my chances at NYU are pretty slim, because my GPA as of right now is a 2.7, and weighted its a 3.7 but i intend to get both much higher by the end of the year [I was a c student freshman and sophmore year, but i turned around my junior year with all A's and B's and i plan on keeping it up my senior year.]

What other schools should i look at? I live in Florida so i was thinking maybe a state school.

Oh, Im also really involved in my school. I am student government president for the 07-08 school year, i was secratary of our Key Club, President of Science Club, and Head of Prom Committee. I was also a member of jazz band [we got a superior at evaluations and qualified for states], marching band and wind ensemble, But i am not sure if i plan to continue music in college.

I missed my college graduation 2 years ago. I want to get a photo taken in my cap and gown and go to the photographer for the sake of it to be proud. I have tried to ring the university they rent them out only of you are graduating. I would like to either buy one second hand or borrow one. Any ideas?

should I be?, because I'm about to be a college sophmore, I go to a community college, I did horrible my first year in college, I was on academic probation both semesters, I only gained a 11 units, I only passed one class, so most of the units I gained were from classes I got a "D" in, but I still need to make up, I slacked off the first of year of college because it was hard for me getting used to the new responsibility, I was just barely fresh out of high school, is this normal or just not abnormal or not are for first year college students to slack off or not do their best the first year?, I'm also worried that I'm gonna be stuck in community college for a long time, cause I didn't do good on the placement test, it put me in Math 010 & English 098, which are low-level classes, & I haven't passed any of them yet, I'm takining English 098 in summer school right now, which i'm making up from last fall, are a lot of community college students in this situation?, I also plan to transfer.
