I eventually want to become a pediatrician. I am number 11 out of 445 at the end of my junior year. I have a 3.931 cumulative unweighted GPA and a cumulative weighted GPA of 4.639. Which college do you think I would have a better chance of getting in to? Thanks for all the help!!!

I still have a few years until college, but I have some questions I'd like to clear up. I want to pursue a career teaching High school level english after college. I am looking for colleges that allow double majors for teaching and psychology, with minors possible. Must also have financial aid programs. If anyone knows of any colleges that fit these descriptions, I would be very grateful. Thank you! =D

I am planning to attend college this fall and as a major, I chose Psychology and the degree program is for the BA. I am planning to become a dentist or a pediatrician. My question is, if i am aiming for become those professions, does the BA help at all? Or should I have picked the BS instead? Or does it not really matter? Also..would I be able to change the degree program?

thanks for your time :]

Hi All! Does anyone know the relative prospects for landing tenure-track jobs in the fields of History (specifically Early Modern and Modern European) and Philosophy (Ethics and Metaphysics) in U.S. Universities? I love both disciplines and could see spending my life doing either and need to decide which to pursue in grad school. Thanks!

I understand that all majors require some math. I am interested in the ones that require the least amount of math.

No one seems to be able to give me a straight answer to the questions thats i have. Im trying to sort out whether i have to pay any money for taking up new modules to replace failed ones in the autumn.

One person says i have to pay, someone else says that i dont. I am getting really pissed off with the whole thing. I have phoned some lady in my office, but it takes ages for them to get to the point.

Im getting really worried about this. I dont want the university to start sending me letters asking me to pay £320 pounds for modules when i dont have to.

From what i gathered i dont have to pay, but im getting worried that the uni will send me an invoice for payment.

I feel as though people are faffing me about. Is there someone higher up in authority that i can go to about this.

I only got 52% overall and have been told by other students that the second year counts 50% towards the final degree. Is this true? If so I need to get 69% in everything just to scrape through with a 2.1

I am starting sixth form this year. I want to go into medicine, and have taken the generally required subjects, but what sort of work experience would make me stand out when applying to universities? I know that competition for med school places can be quite strong.

What are preferable schools to transfer to after CC for a marketing major? I'm mainly looking for schools in California (like UC's).

I'm currently looking forward to going into the business marketing field. But some colleges I'm looking to transfer to only have economics or business/economics as a major. I'm curious to what types of careers do these majors give? Is it possible to get into the marketing/ advertising/ promotions field with an economics major?

I will be entering law school in two years and would like my bachelors degree to reflect my chosen field. However, sometimes there are fields that people have never heard of! I can wait till law school and I'm sure something will hit me, but I'd rather decide now so that I have more time to prepare. Right now I feel like I'm going to school for no reason because it has nothing to do with my eventual field.........which I'm not sure of. That's the problem.

I can't stop thinking about if I should stay at San Diego State University or transfer. I just finished my first year at SDSU and I really enjoyed it so I do not have many complaints, however I've been considering transfering for a while now becuase I think it would be better to graduate from a school with a better reputation. My high school GPA was around 3.65 which i worked very hard for and I went to high school in a good area with very good schools. I think it sucks that I worked so hard for my 3.65 while someone who went to school in san diego easily got a 3.8 and we both ended up at the same school. (This guy who had the 3.8 ended up with a 0.2 gpa his first year while i got a 3.75) I just find that whole thing to be quite unfair. I know if I were to transfer i would probably go to a UC my junior year but I also want to study abroad.
CHOICES:
1Stay at SDSU and study abroad jr. year and graduate hopefully with a high GPA
2Transfer and go somewhere with a better reputation
