No one seems to be able to give me a straight answer to the questions thats i have. Im trying to sort out whether i have to pay any money for taking up new modules to replace failed ones in the autumn.

One person says i have to pay, someone else says that i dont. I am getting really pissed off with the whole thing. I have phoned some lady in my office, but it takes ages for them to get to the point.

Im getting really worried about this. I dont want the university to start sending me letters asking me to pay £320 pounds for modules when i dont have to.

From what i gathered i dont have to pay, but im getting worried that the uni will send me an invoice for payment.

I feel as though people are faffing me about. Is there someone higher up in authority that i can go to about this.

I can not afford to pay £320 pounds. The head of english said i have to pay, but someone in the office says that i dont.

A lady explained it to me, but she didnt exactly make it very clear to me. Im at my wits end with the whole thing.

Thankyou everyone. I will enquire at the fiance depetment. Those people in faculty office are a waste of space.

The faculty staff rarely know anything about the financial procedures of the uni - you should speak only to Registry and the finance office.

If you do have to pay, the finance office will have instalment plans set up, so you needn't worry about paying it all at once.

If you failed coursework and you have signed up to officially retake the courses, yes, you would have to pay for them because you are enrolling in them.

If you are asking the faculty about this or a departmental office, they have nothing to do with it so that might explain the confusion.

Talk to the Bursar, or whatever office is in charge of student accounts/fees on your campus to get the correct answer. While you would have to pay tuition and any lab fees that might be associated with the specific courses you are enrolling in, there is a tiny chance you might be waived from paying other types of student fees when you are retaking coursework. The Bursar could give you accurate information on this.

I've had to deal with many faculties. Too many. Now I don't. I haven't misplaced them. I haven't lost any of them. I remeber each and everyone . They're filed somewhere. I have a circular cabinet in my head. It's called a brain. I exercise it better than I exercise this body. I don't worship the vehicle, I worship the creator. Don't worry. Be Happy. It will keep. Promises can't be. Contracts often won't be honored. I can tell u for a fact that u can't trust the commonwealth to uphold your rights.Take it up with the head honcho or the one on High. Whatever works for u

Wait until you finish uni and join the university of life, then you will learn how to deal with things like this very quickly. Reading this, you really do sound like a very naive young person. Just go and get it sorted

Go (in person) to the office to which you remit payment (The Bursars Office?), and inquire with them if you are to be required to pay additional funds. If the University says no, then the faculty can't force you...

Don't ask your faculty, ask the exams office or the fees office.

Hi.

You need to talk to either the student finance dept or academic registry. If they can't tell you, no one can.

Good luck.

I'd try the dean or something...I had to do it once and suddenly my problem was taken care of.
