I'm currently looking forward to going into the business marketing field. But some colleges I'm looking to transfer to only have economics or business/economics as a major. I'm curious to what types of careers do these majors give? Is it possible to get into the marketing/ advertising/ promotions field with an economics major?

Some companies will hire anyone with a bachelor's degree in any field, so it is possible, but the information is less transferrable and not all companies will hire you with an economics degree. A lot of people use this as a basis for going on for an MBA, after which they are easily eligible for these fields.
