Im an Accounting major at Johnson and wales university, at the end of this year I will have earned an Associates degree.

I need to find a place to transfer to, preferably out of this state with a good financial aid program.

Anyway, I heard its hard for JWU credits to transfer, would an Associates degree make it easier?

My SAT's scores are

Reading 412
Math 450
Essay 396

I don't know what that means, is that bad, is there a chance to take it again to get a better score.

I need to get out of this school!!!!!!!!

My girlfriend just got her results today and got a 17 (ouch). How bad is that?? Do you think she can get it up to a 26, that is what her advisor said she needs that and she is a shoe in. What do you think?

I am a senior and am planning on applying to these colleges. I was wondering what it takes to get into these schools. For people who have gotten in or know somebody that was admitted, how did you or they do in high school (like in terms of academics, standardized tests, extracurriculars, etc.) to get into these schools and what other colleges did you apply to?

I live in Metro Detroit area. I find The University of Michigan a very good university. The main campus is Ann Arbor but, there are many other campuses like in Flint and Dearborn. When I apply for a job does it make a real difference from which campus I am from? If I make it to Michigan will I be in Ann Arbor or somewhere else? What is the true difference of these separate campuses?

I graduated high school 10 years ago, did one college course and decided to jump into the work force. In ten years, I've moved up the ladder and now have a career (not a job). I'm not an executive, but I've done well. I feel that in order for me to continue to progress, especially if I ever decide to leave my current company, I've got to get some kind of degree. I've heard about getting "work experience" credit? Anyone know anything about this?? I'm almost 30 (still young I know) but don't really want to start as a freshman...

Hi All! I have read a lot of extremely negative statements about the job prospects in the academy for historians. Things like only 1 in 3 PhDs ever get tenure-track employment. However, I am wondering if these statements are only referring to jobs at research universities. Does anyone have any comments on this and insight into whether the market isn't so bad if you include liberal arts and (gasp!) community colleges? Also, any comments on whether it is realistic to expect a tenure-track job at a community college with only an MA or does one really need a PhD? Thanks!

I'm currently in college, and I'm at a crossroad. Do I go for my dream of becoming a veterinarian (I already have some experience working in vet clinics), or do I go for something more attainable like a business degree? My first year at college I had a lot of problems, and so I am working to bring my GPA up now. My question is, what is the lowest GPA that Vet schools in general will even consider?
