As opposed to popular belief, the best law school is in Yale. To be honest, any school will do for Pre-Law. I mean, there is no such thing as Pre-Law...you could do a Political Science major, as long as you take some classes that are required to you by your Law school of choice.
All you have to make sure is that you can get high grades at your undergraduate school so when you apply to Law School you can present a formidable GPA.
A college with a rigorous curriculum will get you where you want to go. Try any of the Ivy Leagues and any school that's big on humanities...New York University, Brandeis University, Boston University, Vassar College...any smaller liberal arts colleges are very good as well, just because so many of their students are there to go to Grad School...there's Colgate University, Mercyhurst College, Allegheny College, Sarah Lawrence College.

The best universities for pre-law is identicle to the list of best universities. Look at the rankings on US News & WOrld Report's web site.
You will find the usual suspects -- the Ivy League schools, great private universities like Duke, Stanford, Chicago, and great public universities like Berkeley, Michigan, Virginia, UNC, Maryland, etc.
