The standards for being on academic probation would be different at every school. Why ask this on Yahoo. Call the Registrar at your school and they will be able to tell you in about one minute exactly how it works. And their answer will be the correct one, not just some anonymous stranger's wild guess.

And they won't b*tch about your spelling, either.

Your overall gpa is the one that they look at. Don't worry to much, probation is just a warning. So just get you grades up next semester.

You need to talk to a financial aid counselor at the school you are attending. If you have lost your eligibility for financial aid, it is possible to reinstate it if you file an appeal. Possible outcome include probation or warning status, or you may have to pay for (at least) one semester out of your pocket. The expenses will vary from school to school You should file a FAFSA (www.fafsa.ed.gov) for just in case you get your aid reinstated. That is the application to apply for federal grants and loans.

You need to start studying spelling and grammar or you will be put on probation for that too. It is not "your" - that is a possessive pronoun. You want the contraction of "you are" which is "you're."
