Im an Accounting major at Johnson and wales university, at the end of this year I will have earned an Associates degree.

I need to find a place to transfer to, preferably out of this state with a good financial aid program.

Anyway, I heard its hard for JWU credits to transfer, would an Associates degree make it easier?

My SAT's scores are

Reading 412
Math 450
Essay 396

I don't know what that means, is that bad, is there a chance to take it again to get a better score.

I need to get out of this school!!!!!!!!

If I were you I wouldn't show those SAT scores to anyone at your new school if you can help it. They are WAY low.

With scores like that you did well to be able to get a degree - someone at JWU must have been doing things right or you wouldn't have been able to graduate with your A.S. There must have been at least a few good teachers!

When you transfer, only grades that are C or above will transfer, and generally only classes that are part of the standard courses at the new school will be considered. So if you got less than C on any course, or if you took any remedial courses, those won't count.

I'm pretty sure that I remember at JWU they dont have liberal arts majors and not too many science classes or math classes. So you probably wont be able to transfer those credits either. Like, if you took two semesters of biology with a lab it will transfer, but if you only took one semester without a lab, probably it won't or else you will have to take the lab course separately to fulfill the requirement at the new school.

It is always a problem when you transfer from one school to another.... no matter which schools you are talking about.

To find more schools that might fit your plans, use the college match program at princetonreview.com. Search for "less selective" schools in the area where you want to go.

Getting your Associate Degree may make it easier for you to transfer. After you complete 24 semester/36 quarter credits, you usually do not need to include your ACT.SAT scores with any applications.

JWU is an accredited University, and its classes should not have any problem transferring to another school. You may be required by your new school to provide a description of the courses you have taken. These course descriptions can be found in a JWU catalog, which should be available from the admissions office.

I'd recommend checking on Davenport University. They have several accounting degrees, including an honors accounting program. They offer both traditional and online courses. Their main campus with housing is located just southwest of Grand Rapids, Michigan. I have no idea about whether your credits will transfer, but I'm sure that they can will try to help you.

Bentley College in Waltham, MA is a highly regarded college for accounting majors. It's private and tuition is steep.
You could check out the state colleges and universities. I think more of it will depend on what you want to do in accounting. I think most any school will give you a good accounting education but if you want to specialize then that may mean you want to look at a particular school.

this is not any longer impossible to circulate from a JuCo...it would be super tricky however. comparable as a results of fact the different individual that mentioned you will must be lots greater remarkable than the newcomers that entered...lots greater remarkable. although, you ought to artwork on your GPA first. A 2.7 isn't possibly that super. possibly in case you first went to a close-by college, raised your GPA and then went to stanford for Graduate college...wish this does not discourage you from capturing for Stanford. this is doable, purely develop your GPA first.

All I know is that first you choose the schools you want to go to and then ask each of those independently if they will accept your AA two year degree.
