The above government site is great for looking up job basics and degrees required. According to this site I think the Radiologists make more than the Clinical Laboratory Technicians. It's a good idea to look at job search web sites to read what the job decriptions and requirements are for different hospitals.

It's great that you are considering this now otherwise you'll end up with a really basic entry level job until you can complete your education enough to get into the Radiology field, which is sounds like you will do. I think it sounds like a great idea. Very honorable profession.

Radiology technicians don't earn anywhere near as much as clinical laboratory technologists, who are involved in the analysis of biological and chemical specimens but don't work directly with patients.

SugarFrog46: A radiologist is a doctor, not an x-ray tech. And your second link is for a radiologist assistant, which again is not the same as an x-ray tech.
