In your field, I would think (hope) ALL of it.

Depends. Most of the time college just preps you for being tossed into a world with a million look-a-likes wanting the same job. By knowing more about it (your major) from college, you have an advantage over everyone when you start because you know roughly what to do. However, most jobs just look for that piece of paper. If you and a guy who has just a highschool degree were competeing for a job, they'd pick you because you have more experience and are obviously teachable. Once you get in the door, you almost start from scratch. Each company will teach you how they like something to be done and put you through their own training course. Since you're an accountant though, I think it wouldn't be much different each place you go so your degree would probably come in more than someone who is maybe into electronics because there are different ways to do things with that.

I was about to say that the facts won't matter much, but that your ability to learn and ways of approaching life will matter a lot. That was until I read that you are an accounting and CIS major. In that case, I would guess that you will use most of the facts as well.

Meeting deadlines, critical thinking, and responsibility. Then if the degree is, for ex., engineering you use that. You def. use you programming classes and debits and credits when you start working PLUS what I metioned above. College makes you resposible(hopefully) and independent.

none of it. I graduated last year with my BS in PR and am a graphic designer, I have yet to use my degree. They only care about that little piece of paper, and many employers don't even check with the education clearing house to see if you actually earned one or not. You could be a 10th grade drop out, write on your resume that you have a Bachelor's from Havard, a Masters from Michigan and a PhD. from Yale and they probably wouldn't know the difference.
