I've put www.safewebnavigate.com in the restricted sites list of my IE, does it matter to this? Even I use Firefox, I still can't search safewebnavigate on Google. The search term is safewebnavigate. It is a rogue site.

BTW, I'm in mainland China.

an old NORTON antiviris on my computer. I need to have this
removed before my MCCAFEE anti viris can be installed.

I found the Rootkit, It was in my music files. So does that mean it was from a mp3 file? I need to know how to prevent from getting this or another one again. Does it have to do with my firewall, my anti-virus or my anti-spyware? Because I had 3 popular and supposebly reliable ones.

I have a new computer but i sorta have to let my bro use it for homework... i told him not to go on specific sites bc we can get virus's and things whats a good program i can install to monitor what sites he is going to and what he is downloading? Something free would be good but if i have to buy a program i will as long as its at a reasonable price. I've located this file in my System 32 folder but I can't delete it. The message says it's either protected or currently "in use". I've already disabled it in Manage-Add Ons under tools, so I'm at a loss how to competely remove it. Help please?

my norton antivirus subscription expired today, and it is telling me to renew, but a while ago i bought spyware doctor, and i just renewed that a few months ago. so i am asking if anyone knows do they do the same job, because i don't want to spend fifty bucks renewing norton, if i already have spyware and it does the same job. please help. thank you everybody.

how you see a hacker just look at some access screen then just type something and override it . How does he know what language to use ? And why would the access screen let you input ANYTHING other than the password ? Do all protection programs allow a user interface other than the space for entering a password or identity phrase ? Is making a computer that was programmed by someone else do what you want so easy ? Do they use access language or machine language ?

I have an older version of spybot search and destroy like 1.4 or something like that and I know theres a newer one but I like the one I have. The only question I have is do they still make definition updates for the old one even though theres a newer version.

I keep getting the same message, "A recent attempt to attack your computer was blocked." when I view the details it is the same source each time.(74.210.15.77) I there any body that can stop this person from doing this? I didn't realise this was possible until i read something today that said your computer stores your recent history, sites you've visited and so on. How do i do this? Also my hubby always has window washer on when i get back home, he said he was checking for viruses but when i did a bit of snooping it didn't mention viruses, sounds more like he's trying to cleap his tracks, hmm should i do a bit of sherlock holmes??

I just moved into a new home. We don't have any ISP in our home as it is brand new. My son was using my MacBook and a box popped up asking if he wanted to connect to the internet and he did. It is a very high speed connection, but I don't know whose it is. We are not very near any other house that has it. The closest house that may have it is less than a quarter of a mile away. If we did use the connection, would there be any chance that the person with the connection would see what we are seeing on our screens with email etc? Thanks.
