how do i set up a d-link wireless password?

By making sure that you really need a password. My God tells me that it is better to avoid setting a password in favor of making your user-name enough for the access to the information.

Open your web browser and in the address bar type 192.168.1.1 which is normal the IP of the router and you should be able to take it from there. Now don't forget to secure your router completely.
