I have a new computer but i sorta have to let my bro use it for homework... i told him not to go on specific sites bc we can get virus's and things whats a good program i can install to monitor what sites he is going to and what he is downloading? Something free would be good but if i have to buy a program i will as long as its at a reasonable price. How do these programs work and will he know that i can see what he is doing... i wanna show my mum that he is using MY COMPUTER for things other than homework

You can use monitoring software to track and record all his moves on the computer. It will even make a video playback of movies, show emails, reveal chats log, and keystrokes. The page below will give you more info on the subject. Hope this helps!

In the Control Panel, set a password for yourself as an Administrator and make your files Private. Do not lose this password!!!
Ensure that the Main Windows Login screen is password enabled.
Then, set up an account for your brother as a Limited User and create a password for him. Tell him the password.
Then, he will have his own workspace and won't be able to install any software on your PC, he will have to ask you to do it for him.
Later, you can look at his browsing history, if he doesn't know how to erase it.
