By computer security i mean the security of information systems in general such as computer,databases,computer networks....
Also it'd be good to know some important skills someone must have in order to pursue a career in computer security.

That sounds nice, but good luck finding someone to hire you to do JUST that. I would say most companies are going to need someone who wants to do a little more than that, either programming or network administration. Computer security is important, but you need to apply it to those positions for it to matter.

Having some idea of what "computer security" actually entails would be a good skill.
Not something you train for direct, need computer skills generally, good in software and network admin.
Need to have a good analytical mind to "see what a hacker would try to do" then try to stop them before they do it
Need to so lots of paperwork to assure the management youy are runing a secure network

IBM is the company you need. Nowadays though it will be hard to get in, and even harder to climb the ladder. But it can be done. My Dad immigrated to Canada a few years back, and managed to start working with IBM again, and nowadays he is a consultant who deals with computer security for any firm that wants to hire him on for help. Pretty cool job. I would say more, but the whole family has to sign non-disclosure contracts. sorry.
