So im on a restricted computer....and i cant get into some chatting sites and junk like that ...i know about dynapass and totallywaycool.com does any one know any new sites to go to so i can get passed those walls..thanx guys ;)

I am not great with the computer and mine has gotten slower and now this annoying pop-up keeps popping out about de-bugging. I have pressed both yes and no but it still happens occassioanlly. What is this and how do I get rid of it??

I was considering downloading Limewire and I heard that you need good anti virus software and firewall in order to use it safely. I don't know much about this... help! any suggestions for some secure programs to use, tips, or explinations are greatly appreciated. Thanks!

what's a good free firewall that's available to download... i dont need an antivirus, i pay for those that i get because every one that i've gotten to download ends up screwing my computer up even more... so yea a FIREWALL aslo known as a pop-up blocker... kinda thing! lol

Does anyone know/have you..eliminate previous windows updates from their system. These updates takes up your hard drive. My computer is set for automatically updates but I don't know which one to get rid of. When I reviewed my add/remove programs listing, I noticed there are enormous files since July 2007.

If some one have done this, which one you get rid of or I just write MS for this answer.

I run my antivirus program and after scanning there are unwanted cookies detected, but it was deleted by the antivirus. My question is can this cookies harm my computer if not detected? and how did i get it? thanks

I have read all over the net that once you download a file it is always there. even if you delete it and empty it out of the recycle bin it can still be un deleted by the police or whatever. BUT i also read that their are file shredder programs that will get rid of the file and make it impossible to be undeleted. so which is true?

I am a freshmen in college and up until no I have been the only one hooking my laptop up to my school's network using my ethernet cord. My roommate is somewhat of a hacker and he is about to get his laptop and I know he may be able to access my computer since we share the same room and the ethernet jacks are right next to each other. What computer software can I buy besides Spysweeper (which I already have) to make sure everything on my laptop is completely secure and private? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. I have scanned my computer and I have lots of infections and the trojan virus. Im sure Its the whole deal with malware spyware ect...but everything I have found you have to pay to get these removed. I do not have extra cash right now for this. Can anyone give me a site for FREE REMOVAL...not just a download to scan and then pay. I have ALOT of infections. Like it said 6000 or something. I have no clue how that happended since Im hardly ever on the computer. But someone please help...would be nice to have one that will remove ALL, not just 20 or something cuz that wont do me any justice. Thanks

well i recently found i had "rlvknlg.exe" which was considered trojan now i believe. well i deleted, so i think, but my computer is still running real slow. i got the hijackthis log but its too long to put here. so what i can do is put it on RAPIDSHARE.COM and Megaupload. and if you can please read the log. if you dont trust downloading, here is my yahoo messenger

I have had norton antivirus on my computer for about 6 months and as a result the computer is taking a long time to load up and is slow in general. I deleted this program and have found that my pc runs a lot faster. Now i have AVG free antivirus software, is this suitable and does it provide a reasonable level of virus protection,

Downloaded At&t protection (norton was previous & this downloaded) now cannot get the Online Protection screen continue to work or close. Have Norton, but this screen just stays up -- continue button does not continue. Help -- cannot use desktop have to go through start programs to get anywhere. Yesterday a number of warnings came up on my computer about spyware, saying i had 52 threats?! i think it happened because i downloaded some programme of the internet. it told me that my personal information was at risk etc. So, I bought an anti-spyware programme of the internet called Winspycontrol for £40 but it doesn't seemed to have worked. It took about 3 hours to scan the whole computer and when it got to 100% it didn't remove the spyware. Now it freezes about 32%. My computer is so slow, keeps freezing and some things don't come up at all. I'm going to bring it to a computer expert to help me but i can't go for another few days. Will my computer be ok if i remove the enthernet wire so there is no internet connection to the computer?? Does sypware only corrupt and take info if the internet is on? Will it be ok to leave if for a few days? i'm really worried!!
