Downloaded At&t protection (norton was previous & this downloaded) now cannot get the Online Protection screen continue to work or close. Have Norton, but this screen just stays up -- continue button does not continue. Help -- cannot use desktop have to go through start programs to get anywhere. Tried to delete and reinstall, but norton or syc. not in uninstall list

I would try go-back to a point in time when your computer was working right. You may want to reinstall Norton at wich point you will be given a chance to repair Norton.
This seems like the last resort befor haveing to reinstall your operateing system if repairing Norton fails.
