When I run disk clean up right when it starts to run after I've selected all the files to clean such as temp files, I get a norton antivirus alert saying I have a downloader virus and then the disk cleanup pretty much stalls and wont continue its progress.

I was told not to open mail from certain senders who may be scammers in so-called lotto game company. And I was told not to open their messgaes, because they can tell when their messages sent to you have been opened or not . I 'm not sure how to delete them in my outlook express, withoutclicking onto them which opens message.

I think one of my aim buddies is not who they say they are. I think it is someone pretending to be someone else, and I want to check the IP address. If someone uses AIM or AIM express and doesn't send any files, etc., is it still possible to get their IP address? Does it make a difference if it is AIM Express since that is a web browser? Thank you!

I've recently joined a new website which pays active users n getting ppl to join it. The payment method is thru Paypal or cheque. In fact many other simlar websites pay thru Paypal.

I've nvr used Paypal b4 n I found so many Q + A on Yahoo Answers regarding Paypal scams, frozen Paypal accounts for no reason, Paypal simply deducts money fr users' bank account n etc.

If there are so many problems with Paypal, how come there are still so many users n websites choose them as their payment gateway to customers ?

Is Paypal safe or secure at all ? I'm living in Malaysia n do not own an US bank account. If I choose to use Paypal, will I be able to transfer the money to my Malaysian bank account ?

This is a list of scamer 's on craigs list they email you multiple times they won't leave you alone and they insist on knowing you personal information .. I think something should be done about them they give you some sob story about Africa or there Wife...it is ridculaous..what do you think ? Has anyone experienced this before ?

i mean i installed a trial pack of kaspersky and it worked fine but after it expired (30 days) why i cant i install it again it wouldn't say activate trial version it directly asks activate with reg key help ..... i tried downloading a new version but still in vain

My computer is infested with a dozen malware. They all came in without my approval and pop up their ad every couple of minutes. Some of them are, Ultimate defender, safewebnavigate, yourprivacyguard, pcsecure system, etc. They all came during the last 2 weeks. I do have several security software already installed, like norton, McAffee, adware doctor and spyware killer.

Now my computer is almost non usable. What should I do, besides going to a repair shop ? Thanks

I ran spybot and found 149 "problems". Some of them definitely are problems that I need to delete, like "advertising.com" but I have no idea what others are. If I fix all the problems, could I potentially mess up my computer by deleting something I need? How do I know?

It keeps "preventing" the virus from doing any damage, but it's also preventing me from running any diagnostic or virus scan since i cant get to desktop. Anyone know how to get around this?

I just got a computer from a friend and tried to change the administrative password and name I cannot get past the user sign in screen unless I go under my daughter account where I blocked her useage of anything important through my page. Is there anyway I can get around this to get back onto my screen?

Something downloaded on my computer called advanced media extension v1.5
and now i can't delete it
it has a weird message popped up that says it is corrupted or something
also i have these weird spyware deletion programs on my computer with random popup messages that says windows internet explorer and windows secruirty alert trying to get me to download some random virus protection.
but it keeps loading internet explorer
it also has an unusual thing where my desktop was that says your computer privacy is in danger
but it is not my desktop it is above it but below my icons and it has a hyperlink image in the center. the thing is closeable but it is weird
I am also getting random system aleart messages that keep trying to make me download "recommended spyware programming"
anyway I have tried everything I have ran countless virus scans but have found nothing
I am using a windows XP and have McAfee.

Please help!

I use ETrust, have a good firewall, run Spybot and AdAware, but this thing snuck in somehow.... it's called Cutwail!generic.... I've looked at the list on Symantec for a fix and don't find one..... when I run my virus program, it finds bugs, fixes all of them, including Vundo worm, all but this one..... if there's three bugs, it fixes two and this Cutwail thing is still there.... if there's 16 bugs, it fixes all but one... this one....

anyone know of this bug and where to find a fix for it?.... thanks!!

My Nortan has popped up and said an attack was recently blocked from your computer. It has the name of the virus and everything and it's a high risk but it says it's blocked. Should I remove it? what does this mean?
2. and everytime I do a full scan on my computer it always finds tracking cookies. Whats up?
