Sounds like your hard drive died which is just coinsidence that you got that virus as well at the same time. A virus can easily be wiped when doing a format and wouldn't give you that kind of problem where you can't boot form a CD. Save the drive and take it to a shop if you have inportant files on it and see if they can recover anything. If not, you might have to buy a new hard drive anyways and reinstall Windows. Also the blue screen could be related to a bad stick of RAM. If you have more than one stick, try taking swapping them out and boot to see if that may be your problem as well.

Try getting in using "Safe Mode". You press F8 during the boot sequence to try to get to Safe Mode. If this does not work, you may try to use a boot disk to get access to the Drive. (If you have NTFS file system, you're going to need an NTFS system reader as well as the Anti Virus program on floppy.)
Another way is to remove the drive, take it to another machine and hook it into the system as a slave. THen scan the drive using that system's main OS.

Do you have a backup disc for your virus protection, or take out the hard drive and put it onto another computer and scan it.

the blue screen of death means different things depending on your operating system. It could be anything from a bad device driver to faulty hard drive. check out the wiki on bluescreen of death. take your machine in to a pro and have it looked at.
