Devon:

Have you tried system restore?

All programs/Accessories/System Tools/System Restore.

Select Restore my computer to an earlier time. Don't worry if you did not create a Restore point. Windows does that for your automatically.

Choose a date to restore when things were nice and dandy.
Then restore it and you should be good to go.

Regards,

Cesar

The best way is to place an Original Windows Operating System Disc in and erase and re-install the operating system.
2 things if you bought your computer from several of the vendors you will have there copy of the operating system and will still have a ton of crap you don't want or need.
System Restore in my opinion is only a bandaid on the problem.
Most users are un-aware of the big differences in the software bundles offered by the computer manufactures.
You need a full retail version of your software.
You might get buy with your vendors copy.

If you have windows xp you can go into the start menu, then accessories, then system tools, then restore. Follow the instructions for restoring to an earlier date. When the calendar comes up pick a date that is bold. You can go backwards a few months if you have to. Good luck.
