Norton antivirus is a antivirus progran.
Spyware Doctor is a spyware, adware program.

Avoid the free version of AVG Antivirus.

Not sure which version of Norton you had, but if it's just the anti-virus one then you better believe it they're completely different.

Now, if 360 is anything like what I've experienced with a corporate client then it's the way go. Their issues with virii and malware completely disappeared and never returned when I installed the corporate version.

(I just checked the web-site)... For $59 you can get Norton 360 which does both the antivirus and the spyware doctor. Norton says they are offering a steep discount under these conditions "If you already own at least one Symantec Home or Home Office product, you are eligible to save up to 40%*". Which I'm not sure if you qualify at this point, but you can ask. That would get you the ability to install 360 on up to 3 computers, and you would not likely need spyware doctor.

I currently use the free version of AVG now and recommend it with no reservations.

If you want to try the free version of AVG click the link in sources below.

Norton is an antivirus, which protect you from viruses worms, and malwares......Symantec has been over 15 yrs providing security software,so norton is really leader in protection and worth every cent,it's just not popular because it takes many system resources,I personally use NOD32,but if I had a good pc i would go for norton for sure!.

Spyware Doctor is an antispyware which protect you from spywares, ads and popups,it's also good and has been rated as 5 stars antispyware...keep it also it's very good.

I don't know much about Spyware Doctor, but just by the name it doesn't sound very reliable... I know for a fact though that Norton is well known and it's the antivirus that I use and it works really well. But since you already payed for Spyware Doctor, you should wait for it to end and then buy Norton.

Hi,
You should use "NoAdware". It's extremely effective. I don't have anymore problem with spyware, pop-up, Trojan or computer viruses. I came across this software in PC World Magazine. Featured as the top spyware/ Trojan remover. Now, you can download and try for FREE. Check it out here:

on condition which you have the time-honored version of spyware physician or in case you have spyware physician with AntiVirus and you disable the entire AntiVirus engine. My suggestion is to uninstall spyware physician because of the fact it makes use of way too many materials. it particularly is advisable to contemplate getting a unfastened antispyware like SUPERAntiSpyware and you will additionally get carry of Threatfire, which provides the comparable actual time risk-free practices of spyware physician.

For your anti-virus needs, I would suggest Avira AntiVir® PersonalEdition Classic. It has excellent heuristics, a virus detection rate that is better than most "paid-for" anti-virus programs and is light on using your computer's resources. And did I mention that it's free!

Keep your Spyware Doctor to use as an anti-apyware.

BTW, Avoid the free version of an anti-virus called AVG, it is wildly popular, but it has horrible virus detection capibilities.

Enjoy!
