I need to provide a kiosk like choice of programs similar to the old program "at ease". (a user clicks on a program and it launches and when the program is closed the computer returns to the program menu)
I need to prevent accidental damage to the computer.
The computer will be used with preschool age children so I am not concerned with malicious attacks from the students.

A script in this movie is causing Macromedia flash player 8 to run slowly. If it continues to run your computer may become unresponsive. Do you want to abort the script? yes or no.

Somehow I got on a list that now sends me about 10 spam emails a day about stocks. I am not interested in stocks - nor have I signed up to receive these "alerts". They are obviously spam and contain jibberish at both the beginning and ends (I would assume to disguise the non-text 'stock alert' from spam-blockers). Somewhere in the email they go on about certain stocks. Is there something behind these other than trying to get their stock name out there? It's so annoying and there is no "unsubscribe" option. I'm almost ready to change my email to stop these annoyances. Suggestions? Insights?

My computer has an up to date anti virus program that protects from virus and malware/spyware/adware (whatever). My internet security settings are placed well and my windows firewall is on. I do scans week to week and don't download anything that i don't trust.

How safe is my computer?

I am thinking of updating my wireless network security and I am considering bit defender but I'm not sure whether I would require a separate firewall. Initially I need to install it on just one computer but I have two others on the network in which case I would need to know if I can buy a multiple license.
