every time i press cancel it tries to run anywaybut my pop up blocks it then it tries again but anti virus stops it its driving me MAD how can i stop it

I have recently downloaded Spamfighter from the internet it is apparently Microsoft Certiified. It is however, only a free trial. There is also some software called VirusFighter developed by the company Norman. Are they any good?
If not , can you advise me on any good down-loadable software, to protect my PC, preferably free of charge.

I want to send a word document (2003) but I want to put restrictions and to let people just to read it! I don't want them to copy anything form the document and not to print it.
I came across Microsoft Rights Management and I've donne the document with the rescrictions, but noone can read it (bacause they do not have the MRM installed on their computers) -- and even more -- I don't think they will be able to read it because when I put the rescrictions I left blank where I've been asked who can read the document (becasue I didn't know any users -- they do not have IRM passwords, nor .net passports). Is there any other way of sharing a document, with those strict rescrictions? (no copy, no changes, no printing)

Am using zonealarm firewall(free version)…….but within 20 days of installation it shows that it blocked 35000 intrusions out of which 2000 something is high rated…..is this a normal thingy…….

my computer has been running slowly lately and i have noticed a new file on my computer, its names is: 2502d67e9684214c938fc15a6cf2
on the inside of this folder theres a text sheet with the name:
msxml4-KB927978-enu
when looking thriough this file i came across some things that looked abnormal like:
Cloaking enabled.
Attempting to enable all disabled priveleges before calling Install on Server
is this a virus?

A friend of mine just got set up on the Internet. He went online about 30 seconds without antivirus and he said when his sister (who knows a bit more about computers) checked it out, he had 182 viruses. After some cleanup, he is now left with about 30 viruses that will still not go away. His sister recommended putting them in quaranteen but neither of them is really sure what it means and how to do it. Please help with potential solutions.

They used my computer but their yahoo email account. The scrren name was not registered to my account . I did not know they were going to do this. When I ask them why they did it, they said so it couldn't be traced back to them. The Yahoo ID was a fake. What do I do? I told them if I got into trouble I was going to give the authorities their name. They said, "you have to prove it was me". Nice Friend?

just logged on after somewhat of a premonition about my laptop (I kid you not, its 2.23am here) and symantec picked up 2 trojan horses. Where have i got them from? why? symantec has quarantined them saying file name was a.bat and original location was on c:/. Hi All,

I am using windows 2000 SP4.Recently My CA anti virus shows it found the virus called

win32/Malum.DXL.

It also shows the message; it cannot cure or delete the file.

Any suggestions to remove the Particular file.

how do i get rid it? i have installed AVG free, AVG anti-spyware and paid for spyhunter software, but none of them have worked...

I have anti-virus protection from Panda Titanium 2005. For about a year now, my e-machines computer shows a Windows error message at startup. Up until a few weeks ago, a different error message appeared at startup alongside the Window's message for about a year also until it somehow disappeared.

My computer works fine and it doesn't have any junk and also has lots of free space.

The problem, also, is that while I am typing something (or maybe even surfing the web) like in a chat or on MS Word or even on a regular website, the computer has a small freeze (that doesn't affect it's performance) that takes me away from what I am doing. For example, the tab at the bottom of my screen is no longer highlighted to show me what my current program is--it goes back to the lighter shade (which can also be seen at the very top of a page--where it says the name of the website or file).

Do I have a virus? What is wrong with my computer? Should I get it checked? If yes, what for?
