Well, as long as hotmail, yahoo, or gmail don't access your emails, or someone doesn't have your login information, and you don't leave the screen randomly up, i think it would be fine. A lot of people don't trust security. Paranoia, but thats ok, cause some people just arent lucky.

Honestly though, i wouldn't recommend it.

It's not very secure to do that.

Think of email as post cards. Anyone can read them without you knowing its been read.

If you need to transfer sensitive information, look into an encryption program like PGP. This will scramble your info such that only the intended recipient can view the contents. People will still be able to see the mail contents but it will just be gobbledygook to them.

The other -- and I feel easier option -- is to simply relay this info over a telephone call.

Hope this helps!

Not very. It's not specific to the email service, or a criticism of any of those mentioned. All email is subject to the same issues -- it goes across the internet, basically an unsecured medium, and can be intercepted by a hacker, or accidently misdirected.

Congratulations! curiously which you have won a real scam letter.positioned it in a document and notice how briskly they upload up. I took my first one to the close by sheriffs dept and that that they had an entire document complete of same letters only like mine. seem for issues like unsuitable grammar and typos. Are the references or human beings in fee somebody you could touch? bill Gates? King of Spain? Sultan of Brunai? Google the different names related. See in the event that they happen on any scam lists. attempt to touch Yahoo. I did get a similar letter some months in the past that I only remembered, and it grew to become into from Yahoo approximately money that I had "gained". i'm nonetheless waiting for Yahoo to touch me approximately it. yet attempt to envision it via Yahoo besides. If it somewhat is genuine I';m confident Yahoo would be satisfied to envision it for you. i do no longer understand if I won a similar one you probably did or no longer, yet while it somewhat is accessible i'm going to get one quicker or later. do only no longer provide them your individual information till you verify them out genuine good. better of success

The bank should provide encoded correspondence at their website. Never send this type of information through regular e-mail. Anyone could potentially view it, although it wouldn't be especially likely.
Be very careful about replying to any personal inquiry by an e-mail source - you never know for sure who it might be.

There is no such thing as total security on any Computer or Telephone. Best approach is never put anything on a computer or say anything on a telephone that you don't care if the world finds out.
