it's still free, it's just a version change....trust me on this one.

I've asked expert forum members and 7.1 won't be available, but 7.5 which is also free will be available.

Yes, as stated above, AVG is still free. However be aware, the option to automatically schedule system scans has been disabled!
This means after upgrading to v7.5 you have to manually scan your system every day!

I agree Avast! looks to be a good free solution. It was rated #8 by PC world last year (among others you have to pay for!). http://www.pcworld.com/article/124475-1/article.html

Mozilla Firefox is one of the world's most popular web browsers and, to me, it's the best.
Try it out

most virus are spread through IE. IE is not a safe browser. you should use a more secure browser to protect your PC from virus.

i recommand you to use firefox with Google toolbar. firefox can block any any popup and disable any virus and adware, spyware on webpage, so, firefox is much safer than IE browser. as you know, most of virus spread throught internet and webpage.

besides, firefox is much smaller than IE, so it run faster than IE.

download firefox for free, Just have a try:

AVG is still free, even if you keep your current version patching will be available....

I would still upgrade to version 7.5 there's not much noticable difference! :)
