Security - January 2007

I have evaluation version of a pdf document.It does not allow me to print it neither I can select the whole text and paste it to some other word processing software.Is there any way out so that I can at least copy the entire text.

I am working in a office of 100 staffs, and sometimes after I go home, someone is using my computer. How do I restrict these users? I don't want to be blame for any errors found in my computer because of someone else's missuse.

i disabled windows firewall and all possible programs that could have firewalls, yet all P2P and torrent programs think i have a firewall enabled, maybe its my router or modem, can anyone tell me how to fix this? Or even how to detect what firewall i may have?

i have the antivirus software and the internet security one, but am confused which one to install since the system let me install just one of them so what do you advice me.
and if i install internet security will it do the job that the anivirus does or vice-versa.

Anyone have problems after installing and running spybot? I found its immunize program blocked access to sites and even after deactivating the immunize function it didnt help. Finally had to unistall spybot. Still it had interfered in the registry. Had to do a system restore to get back to normal. I use XP (service pack 2). Anyone have similar problems with spybot?

I want to audit my pc and see what Skype generates in terms of network traffic.

Skype is a peer to peer application and can work by relaying traffic from a user ot another via a 3rd pc.

I have Ethereal and use it to trap network packets going in and out, but how do I know which packets are Skype traffic???
