i disabled windows firewall and all possible programs that could have firewalls, yet all P2P and torrent programs think i have a firewall enabled, maybe its my router or modem, can anyone tell me how to fix this? Or even how to detect what firewall i may have?

Your router has a built in Firewall. You will have to log into your router and grant access on the ports that you are trying to use. Or, BAD IDEA, disable your firewall in your router - I don't recommend that. You will just have to play around with the ports and settings in the router to find out what will work, but still keep you protected. Hope this helps...

I would suggest calling your ISP, and asking them if they have a P2P limit or even a ban. I know that mine is making a bandwidth limit on the p2p protocal. Try that, and if that doesn't work, try checking your router. 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.0.1 usually gets you to the routers web interface, then check out your user manual to forward the port your p2p uses.

if you have a router that is whats going to be the problem. you'll have to figure out what router you have, log into it, and forward some ports to your computer... can be a bit complicated if you've never done it

bypass your router and connect direct to see if its the router giving you issues.
