I am puzzled as to why your system will not let you install both the AV and internet security.

I had Norton AV and Norton Internet Security installed, however, I just let the Internet Security program lapse. At this writing I am only using WindowsXP firewall and Norton AV. Just be careful where you go and think before you click on anything.

The problem with security suite, they take alot of power on your computor and cause conflicts with other software as it is not singled as one program, security suites have a combination of several types of security at same time. Antivirus programs such as AVG works good and don't hog resources.

internet security software prevents others from getting into your computer. antivirus software stops the viruses from destroying your machine. you should be able to install both as they are independent.
