I have a compaq family computer. i am a computer administrator. the only other account on the computer is a limited one. how can i log onto my name without my password?

Stick with what is working for you. This is a family computer, so parents should monitor the activity of the children. It's an education tool, so let's see what the kids are learning today.
But if you need passwords, WRITE THEM DOWN. Don't lose the Program disks, or Restore disks or Windows Operating System disks. Be ORGANIZED inside your computer and OUTSIDE.

There is a program for this called LC4.exe that you can use. It is classified as a virus because of the way it deep searches for the right information, but it is 100% safe as long as you remove it when you are done. Hope this helps and Happy New Year

well i guess if you have windows xp that you could press alt-ctrl-delete twice then type in administrator into the user name slot and hit enter. the password is usually blank.
do this on the welcome screen.

on the welcome page of windows xp, press alt ctr del twice, type in "administrator" and leave the password blank. that may work :)

Not a problem,go into safe mode,then control panels,click on user accounts. do everything you want.
