Anyone have problems after installing and running spybot? I found its immunize program blocked access to sites and even after deactivating the immunize function it didnt help. Finally had to unistall spybot. Still it had interfered in the registry. Had to do a system restore to get back to normal. I use XP (service pack 2). Anyone have similar problems with spybot?

About a month ago I download the updated version of Spybot and have had no problem with it. It works much better than the old version. It has a faster scan engine and the Tea Timer problems was fixed.

The version number on the current Spybot download continue to show the old version number of 1.4, but is the update version. I download the current version from:

I'm thinking you might have had a bad download that might have caused the other problems with your computer.

I don't know if this suggestion will help you, but doing this has eliminated almost all problem I've had with downloads. The Browser Cache, if large, can cause many problems with download. I now clean the Browsers Cache prior to any download. Go into Internet Options and delete the Cookies, Temp Files and History. I also check my Hard Drive for defragmenting. This I rarely have to do.

You will be required to sign back into your services after doing the Browser Cache cleaning. I hope this helps.

Spybot Search & Destroy is a spyware scanner no doubt.

To view the websites again you must delete the Hosts file in your Windows folder.

I have not had a problem with Spybot's Immunize feature. I use it everyday and updated daily.

Those three shapes mean the images aren't loading. Have you had problems with entire websites not loading either? What browser are you using? What OS are you using? Please provide a few more details

The only problem I ever had was when Norton had me UNINSTALL it when I upgraded. I never get anything when it is installed and no problems.
