Is there another program besides Macaffe..It slows my machine to a crawl...

avg is still free. the window you are seeing says "avg free 7.1 is no longer supported. buy avg 7.5!" and in small print at the bottom it says "or, you can still get avg for free, you just have to get the 7.5 version and stop using 7.1"

I just downloaded the AVG free edition. However even it was true that AVG is no longer free, I would buy their fantastic program. There is another free virus program called AVAST that's good. Still, I am very impressed with AVG, and I used to run Macaffe, Norton's, Kaspersky, Trend Micro Cillin, you name it over the years, and AVG stands out in my opinion as very good value for money.
Go to: www.nonags.com it has tons of freeware, including anti virus, bookmark it in case you need something else. Chow

I can give a few links that offer free virus and spyware removers...!You may be having a virus or spyware installed on your PC. Norton, AVG , Avast are free antivirus software. Ad-aware, Ewido are free spyware removers. You can download free softwares at
