...which Alt number will give me the GBP pound sign. Does anyone have a list of what all the Alt+.... numbers produce?

I need to install a new video card driver ( I think it's a Mobility Radeon 9200) because somehow I deleted mine by accident when I was updating my computer...I've tried downloading it several times but I always get

INF error
Video driver not found.

So I'm trying to install one and it's telling me I don't have one. I'm pretty lost...Anyone know how to get rid of that error and help to install the driver?

I bought a new case. Pretty good (should be with it's hefty price tag of £65 ($130))

It has a HDD and CPU temperature sensor connected to the front screen. I have two hard drives so I just wedges the HDD sensor between the two hard drive, lovely job.

Where do I poke the CPU sensor to get a reading of CPU temp?

I'm confused

I wanted the highest amount of RAM available in my Dell desktop, so I opted for the 4GB of RAM memory instead of the 2 GB of RAM. It's kind of frustrating seeing only 2.99 GB of RAM in my Computer info (when I click on "Properties" in "My Computer.").

I've got a Dell OptiPlex GX50 Desktop, and I cleared the Hard Drive on it 1 time, and the software and drivers for the sound card are gone. Now everything that is coming from the Internet (sound related) sounds like a chipmunk. I asked my computer what to do (troubleshooting) and it said to go in to the computer and take it out and plug it into the expansion slot. It didn't give me any pictures, so I don't know what to do. I can get into the computer easy, but I don't know what it looks like. I saw something that I guessed was a sound card, but it turns out it isn't. The computer told me to plug it into the expansion slot and turn the computer back on and it's Plug 'n' Play features should automatically detect the new device and automatically install it. The drivers should be on there somewhere, right?

I found some RAM online that I want to purchase but I don't know if it's compatible with my computer. I know for a fact that my computer takes PC133 SDRAM 168-pin. Now is that all I need to know to make the purchase or is there still the possibility that it might not work?

The memory in question is IBM PC133 reg ECC SDRAM 33L3151 (and my computer is an IBM NetVista M41 6792-xxx). I hope I provided enough info! I'm in desparate need of RAM and I can't find the answer anywhere! :-o Thanks in advance for any help!

If you haven't read one of my Q's lately, I'm having a problem w/ my video card being to long to fit into the AGP slot.

Some have suggested to just reroute the dang IDE cable that is in the way. How could I do this if I only know of one plug for the Specific blue indicated IDE cable?

I will be building a new pc shortly , downgrading my old pc. Was planning on 4gb ram 3.4ghz p4 d 2 x 36gb raptors setup as raid and 2 x 500gb storage drives dvd and dvdrw. this will not be a game machine but will be used for video editing i need recommendations for sub $150.00 video cards that are aero capable. Was thinking of nvidia 7600 or radeon x1600 in 256mb pci-x will be using my old hauppage 250 tv tuner and was going with vista ultimate edition as i need to connect to a domain controller.video card must have 256mb / 512mb on board not 128mb plus shared system memory. thanks for all your help

just recieved my XFX Geforce 6800 XT AGP 8X DDR3 Video Card. I tried inserting it into my Pentium Processor 4 Dimension 4500.

What I believe the problem is the IDE Cable where it hooks into the motherboard is right in the way! Apparantly, there are more than one size of AGP video cards.

i was weighing was grinding the corner of the card. I'm sure no circuitry is in the way and i only need about 1/8 inch. It's not much, it's just a little bit i need cut off. Won't this deem the warranty void if I do such a thing though? I just bought it a few days ago so I don't see how the warranty would be void since I bought it from www.newegg.com.
What do you suggest I do?
