Ok I have the following sound card:

Creative Audigy 2 ZS , which supports DTS-ES.

My speakers are ANALOG --> Logitech Z-5300 5.1 setup.

I also have Power DVD version 7 deluxe which supports DTS-ES and DTS 96/24.

My speakers are connected to the soundcard via the analog cables.

Now if I play a DTS DVD and select the DTS soundtrack will I hear DTS sound , or just the Dolby Digital EX sound?

In other words do i also have to have digital speakers.

Reason I'm asking is because I've tested some dvd's using the
DTS-ES & Dolby Digital EX soundtracks and I can't say I hear a better sound when using the DTS soundtrack.

Is it because i have analog speakers or is it something else?

Ok, so I decided to overclock my CPU (Pentium 4 3.2ghz) a little so I went into BIOS and boosted it up 10% in theory my speed should be
3.52ghz but both everest and system information read it as 3.20ghz 3.19ghz, but it feels ALOT faster.

When I bought the the 6 channel sound card it has a cd included and has drivers in it. I installed the cmedia sound driver and now my pc has sound. But when I reboot the PC the found new hardware wizard pops up all over again and in the device manager there is still question mark in the multimedia audio controller. I tried to update it in the location where cmedia is installed and on the installation CD but it cannot find the necessary software/driver. what to do?

im not having trouble with the sound anymore as i have said the pc has now it's sound but i am just wondering why the found new hardware wizard is still popping up.

And another problem i have is after i installed the sound and reboot the pc, it looks OK, but minutes ago, the BLue SCreen of Terros came up suddenly. I know this BST only pops up when theres wrong hardware configuration.

Please help me.

thank you so much

Okay: I had two hard drives and one of them became corrupted, so I removed it and replaced the IDE cable linking them to the motherboard. It booted with the following error message:

Primary IDE 80 no conductor cable installed

So I replaced it with the old cable. But the error message still keeps coming up. What's going wrong?

I DID google this too, but I couldn't find much help.

I am choosing between the following entry-level servers:
1. Dell Poweredge 1950
2. HP ProLiant DL145 G2

I am planning on deploying a LAMP (Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP) application stack.

I am located in India. Do share your views even if you have no experience with these vendors in India. Do suggest alternative hardware to the two above?

I am considering the following factors (in order of priority):
1. Service, support, response time
2. Cost-effectiveness.

Which is a better graphics card?

The ATI Radeon 9800 Pro

Or

The AT Radeon 9500

I talked to a upgrading person at Gateway and he said that the 9500 is better. I would have thought higher the number, higher the performance.

I have 2 hard drives in my computer and I want to repartition the first one because I don't really need it divided. Original hd looks like this at the moment: C:10gb system - contains all the programs, D:10gb music. I want to either change the amounts to C=15gb and D=5gb or I want to have all the 20gb on C... Which one is easier to do? And how do I do it? (Explain as much as possible) IMPORTANT:
1. I don't want to have to reinstall the windows/format. 2. I don't want to lose anything from drive C. 3. I don't care if I lose something from drive D.
