hi, my friend recently gave me an usb webcam but w/o its driver. i tried looking for the driver on the internet but was fruitless. if anyone knows where to get the driver, please help. thanks. the webcam looks like this: http://www.haimei.com/digital_camera/images/usb-digital-pc-camera-upc310.jpg

i do not know the model or the brand of the webcam. they are no where to be found on the webcam itself.

Well, to answer your question about the type of camera that you have, it appears to be an Haimei (Make) UPC-310A (Model). The bad news, this camera was sold as a promotional item, which is not supported. The manufacture of this camera has refused to respond to my inquiry about the ability to download software drivers for their products. You would certainly be better off spending $20 for a new camera from Wal-mart.

Hello. I had the same exact problem, all you need is the name of the webcam, or perhaps your friend might know, or you can find it off the internet. Then go to the manufacturers website, and find the drivers and downloads section, select your webcams model then click download. This download will include everything that would've been on the disk. You're all set. Hope this helps, Brodster

Each driver is specific to the hardware so you're going to need the name and model and manufacturer of the webcam. Then you can go to their web site and search for the driver.
