When I try to download video card, it say there a problem with my video card. How can I fix this problem?

OK... I know Cars.... I don't know Computers....

My Granddaughter got a i mac model under it shows M5521
She could only get it to turn on and flash a small folder with a question mark and one with 2 faces.
Next it would stop and pointer would come on with the buttons,,, left button is a arrow in 3/4 circle and right is a arrow pointing to the right... You can click the arrows but nothing happens...

Before I could find a back up disc for this model HER Uncle that just finished computer Tech school STUCK a Mac OS disc in it...
You can here it try to boot up...
Nothing happens when you turn it on and hold C down....

Question::: Is there a trick I can do to get that disc out ?
Is there any hope for this type of computer? I've seen them on TV but never in person.
Is there a Place I can get the Back up support disc to restore this once I get the Mac OS CD out???

I took it in to be fixed back in Feb. It wouldn't power up then, but it had been hit with a power surge (lightning, wouldn't you know, we had 2 outlets in our rental place that weren't properly grounded. The other one- well, we also lost our TV and new DVD player...anyway that's ancient history). The motherboard was replaced, and I think the hard drive, too. (Long story how it is that I'm not sure...) Now, suddenly, it does not turn on- the light comes on and it screams BEEEEEEP!!! BEEEEEP OH, AGONY, BEEEEP!!!! (Yes my computer is a total drama queen.) I've taken it in again and borrowed one for a few days, but I'd like more opinions on what's wrong than just the service guy's.

I have a Dell Computer with 512mb RAM. To upgrade with another 512mb is not cost-effective. I have a 1mb memory stick that plugs into a USB port. Can I direct this chip to be used for additional RAM? If so, how?

Convince me why a Mac is better than a PC (or if it wouldn't be better for me). :)

Gaming, music (making it and listening & organizing), and occasional photo editing are basically what I do on my PC.

What about running programs for Windows, will I not be able to do that period? Can I run both OS?

Dunno much about Macs.

Advice?

I have a HP DVD840x writer, and I seem to be having extremely slow burn times. For instance, when I burn a full audio CD, it's taking an average of about 20-25 minutes!.....at maximum speed it should only be taking a couple of minutes max. I have a Athlon 4000 2.4 gig computer....but I only have 512 megs of ram. Could the amount of RAM I have in the computer be slowing things down, or is it most likely something else? Thanks.

Whats the best way to update and speed up computer performance, i play Online games and I already run at a good internet speed, but i want to have one of the best connections around. So should i upgrade memory? Hard drive? what should i do? to make it better?

Also if i upgrade more memory and such can i leave the other memory card in there and use both to enhance the power even more?

I have deleted all tempoary files emptied my recycle bid moved my itunes to an external hardrive but it still tells me i only have 86mb of space left-critically low!

how do increase my system ram i remember doing it for my dads cpu his was only using 222 MGBs of ram but it said it should be using 256 MGBs so some how i increased the ram from 222MGBs to 256 MGBs but that was years ago and i totaly forgot how and i just bought this cpu that is supposed to have 512 MGBs of ram but when i go to controle panel and click on system it says i only have 448 MGBs of ram i know i should beable to increase it to 512 MGBs without buying another ram chip please tell me how
