SOMEBODY TOLD ME THAT I.E.6 IS BAD AND THAT A THING CALLED FIREFOX MIGHT BE BETTER. HOW DO I INSTALL IT, DO I HAVE TO GET A NEW HARD DRIVE -WHAT DOES IT DO AND HOW DOES IT WORK AND HOW DO I SET IT UP TO WORK--I GOT 140GB 1200Y HP SP 2 DESKTOP WITH WINDOWS/ I.E.6. ADVICE?

ok just so you know, some people are just learning about computers and all the diffrent apps and i memorized nearly every app on my computer and everything aboutthe tools and settings but sometimes i need advice and for those of you who think those of us who don't know computers and were stupid-GROW UP AND YOU GET A LIFE! WE'RE TRYING TO LEARN AND IF THAT MEANS ASKING QUESTIONS TO THOSE WHO LIKE TO TEACH THAN FINE- AND THANK YOU TO THOSE WHO AREN'T RUDE AND WHO HELPED ME.!!!!!!!!

You friends didnt tell you the the most better way, IE 7,
it is free to download, enhaced security setting, esspecialy phishing feature. Firefox is also good, but sometime u get problem when try to watch online video stream or want to see flash. I would advise IE 7

Well in most peoples opinions IE6 is worse than Firefox. :)
To install go to http://firefox.com and hit the Big Download button at the top of the website. Its about 5.6 MB so no problems there with hard disks space. It should install just fine with your system.

Mozilla Firefox...It's like Internet Explorer but with tabs, much safe from viruses, has tabs instead of new windows, it's quicker, has spell checker, etc.
Google it for a download, I'm too lazy.
BTW You don't need anything like hard drives and stuff. Just download and install.

ok maam. honestly you are worse off than a frog in the well. everybody is using it nowadays and it light years ahead of any IE 6.0 or better. in fact ie7 just added some of the stuff that we Firefox users have been using for ages. so go get firefox. GET A LIFE.

I love Firefox. You can download it free from Mozilla, CNET,. download.com and others. I'd suggest download and install it ( it'll walk you through the steps) and try it. If you like it, and decide as most who try it do that you never want to see IE again, do NOT uninstall IE because it is very integrated with windows and if you uninstall IE you'll mess up your OS. You can safely delete the IE shortcut from your desktop, you can disable IE, and you can simply ignore IE and never use it. Good luck.
