how do increase my system ram i remember doing it for my dads cpu his was only using 222 MGBs of ram but it said it should be using 256 MGBs so some how i increased the ram from 222MGBs to 256 MGBs but that was years ago and i totaly forgot how and i just bought this cpu that is supposed to have 512 MGBs of ram but when i go to controle panel and click on system it says i only have 448 MGBs of ram i know i should beable to increase it to 512 MGBs without buying another ram chip please tell me how

This is because your system has shared video memory. A portion of your RAM is reserved solely for graphics processing because your computer does not have its own dedicated video card. In this case, your computer is reserving 64MB for graphics, which is why your system is reporting only 448MB of RAM. There is no way to get around this unless you buy a video card for your machine. If you install a video card, your system will stop borrowing from the RAM and your computer will report 512MB of available memory.

Maybe the opperateing sistem you are useing on your pc is conssuming the RAM. maybe this is why u cannot have all RAM, the opperating sistem(windows probably) needs ram memory.check it!if so , u cannot use all the ram because is ussed by the opperating sistem u have. I`m noth sure, but it may be so!Good luck!
