I have a Vtech Notebook but the Smart Card I need isn't sold? How can I get an account? I'd appreciate any tips.

I'm trying to get an older computer running and it's battery is gone. How do I know what type mobo battery (the nickel size battery) I need?

This mobo is probably 6-8 years old.

And where do I find the battery?

I have followed all the leads concerning the "missing NTLDR, hit any key to reboot" question I posed a few days ago without any change. I even changed the data cable with same results. Finally, I have used a different PC to format the HD of the problem PC. Now, when I try to install WINDOWS XP pro from the installation CD it tells me to hit any key to continue after getting to the CD. But when I hit any key, nothing happens. What am I not doing right?

I need to restore it back to factory settings but i don't have an external hard drive to put all my files on to and there are too many to put on cd's so my question is: would I be able to use my friends computer to store my files and if yes how would I go about it and what leads etc would I need.

I have a 2.8 P4 with HT. I have a coolant system. During regular use (internet, word processing, etc...), the temperature stays between 59 - 70 (it use to be 40 - 50).... But when I play games, it climbs to 85 degrees Celcius... Is that normal for a P4? If no, what is the normal temp for it?

Oh also, when I first installed the cooling system, I mixed water with some coolant, everytime I need to refill the container, I just added water... Done that like 6 times already (once every 4 months).... Should I be mixing the water with something else? What is that something else?

Should I get a case with a power supply or buy them separately? What should I look for in a power supply Will the mobo and/or other computer parts I buy say in the manual what is best?

And finally hard drives - I've heard Western Digital and Seagate are good quality. However my last HD was a WD and it bit the dust recently, thought that may be Windows' fault. My motherboard will be an ASUS M2N-SLI Deluxe (SATA) and I will be using an AMD Athlon 64 X2 processor if that helps. This will hopefully be my last questions about computers for a little while. Thanks to everyone who has been putting up with my incessant questions about computers.

Here's my Question:

How do i add another IDE HDD to my existing PC???

My first HDD (also IDE) is nearly full and i've got an extra HDD that i'd like to add. My main drive is set to MAster, and i have the other HDD set to slave.

But i;m ADDING this new HDD so how will i do that once they are installed.

Will the BIO"s recongize the 2 HDD's and how do i only reformat this new drive only ? ???

i just want to use this smaller drive to hold downlaods. This of course will be on the same PATA cable as my master drive. I DO NOT WANT RAID, just more storage

**Also everything else is only a year old, except for the HDD's (duh!!) my dad was supposed to get me a new SATA HDD but he changed his mind <__<

I have a Intel Celeron D processor and between 37C to 41C is my CPU temperature.

I have a power fan, processor fan, a case fan, and modified it to have 2 more fans, plus a PCI slot fan. That's 6 fans.

The reason I have so much is because it's a server so it runs day and night although I do clean it for dust.

So is that really really good, normal, or needs to be better?

For example, my processor is Intel Pentium D Processor 820. I know there are other numbers but is the higher the better and what do they measure?
Also, what is the CPU Ghz? Is the higher the better for that or what does it mean?
