Which should be the faster processor? an AMD Athlon 64 3000+ or a Pentium 4 3.2Ghz? I ask because on the AMD windows reports only 2.1Ghz whereas on the P4 it reports 3.19 Ghz. does this sound right? The P4 certainly seems faster.

If I want to use the pc in my living room I will need a large screen 26inch +.
What is the most cost effective screen to buy as I will need it to display both TV/dvd images along with the computer output.

I am looking to get a new all-in-one. I want a machine with specific features, which I can find on either inkjet or laser printers. I am concerned about the ink cartridge vs the laser toner costs. Also I've heard inkjets are better for photos. Any advice out there about costs and performance comparisons?

Hey,
I want to update my graphics card as i cant play some games which require pixel shaders and don't get good framrates on some games.

However i have a pretty old processor:

Amd athlon xp, 1.25Ghz, x12.5, 1.5volts

Nvidia GeForce fx 5200, 128mb, agp 8x

I doubt i can have pci-e cards,
so is it worth upgrading my graphics card or not?

but obviously i dont want to buy it if it doesnt make a noticable difference.

Hi ive just purchased a new laptop that has windows vista premium, ive been looking on the internet for some games and they all say that the games will work on windows up to xp, does this mean the games will not work on windows vista... or have they just not updated the infromation.

I've just formated my computer and before I formated it I saved all my music in the memory stick so now that I've formated the pc I put them back but I can only play mp3 and not normal format which I copy from cd's...

It giving me the message to connect to the internet does that make any sense?
