Is there a special chip you buy, or do you have to take apart your PC?

I've got an old HP processor with 128 MB RAM memory that desperately needs to be upgraded. Any info (the more detailed the better) would be VERY appreciated. I'm too good with computers. :(

I orderd three ink cartrages from them, trying to save a coulple bucks, I have a Dell 922 printer. Not only did it take twice as long to get my F... ink, they were empty!! well the two coclor ones were the black one was half full, Now I have to send it back, wait 14+ days for my refund. I would never recomend anyone try this. 123Inkjets is a joke, not a reputable company, No wonder I was saving so much moneySo I needed my ink, I was desperate to get me projects done, now after the 8 day wait to rtecieve it, there will be an 8 day return, then another 14+ days before a refund. I could have spent 15.00 more and gotten great ink in 3 days. Oh well you live and you learn

I have about $900 to spend and I'm also going to need to get a printer with that money. I have looked at a lot of different ones, but I have no idea about what's good and what isn't. I'm a high school student who has to write a lot of long papers and do a lot of research. I will have the laptop on for long periods of time, and I don't know if that affects anything or not, I'm just mentioning it.

On all of the computer accessories I look at they say "windows 98, windows xp compatible". Does that mean they will work with Windows Vista as well, but that it just isn't listed because it's newer? Wireless mouse and keyboard are what I'm looking for. Some recommendations for those would be good too...I want a mouse with function buttons on the thumb side.

We have to turn are heads to the right to read any-thing. Like the "X" is in the bottom right hand corner. We tried the button's that are on the moniter. We tried going into the properties, nothing worked.

I'm on the final upgrade task for the computer I inhierited from my folks after they got their new one. Currently, mine sports 1GB of RAM(PC2100 SDRAM), a GeForceFX5500 video card, a SoundBlaster Audigy sound card and both a 52X CD-R and 16X DVD-RW drive. (I'm obviously rebuilding this thing, yeah?). Problem is that it has a 1.8 GHz Intel Celeron processor.(yes, it is an eMachine, or was, depending on the outcome.) Not enough juice for me. Can anyone recommend a good idea for a Socket 478 processor that may work well with my system? I've looked online at Newegg and such, but some of the products seem to be more words than performance. My question is, "What would be optimal?"

What laptop is right for me? I like mac's better, but I don't want to spend too much... Something with a fast processor, like core duo. I looked into Toshiba's and Macbook's. I want something with good entertainment features. It doesn't have to be a high performance gaming laptop, but i would like a graphics card to support WoW well enough.

I have a Dell Dimenstion 9200 Dell Capable pc currently running XP Home. I was planning on buying Vista in around 4 months or so (When the next editions are released).

However I have just been informed that Dell PC's can not have Vista installed on them. I was going to buy Vista Home Premium Upgrade however have been informed that in order to install Vista on a Dell system, I need to fork out an extra £100 for the full Vista Home Premium.

Dell have been very unhelpful (as normal) with this matter so can some one please sort this out.

What version do I need:

Vista Home Premium Upgrade

or

Vista Home Premium Full
