Thats a no brainer. Do yourself a favor and get the first HP with the Core 2 Duo Processor. (Its the best line of cpus on the market.. -at the moment)

It has a gig of DDR2 ram.. a decent sized hdd and other standard features. The only thing i see wrong with these three is the graphics hardware it uses (I'm not going to say video card bc its a integrated series from intel.)

Considering those three are the same price. that Core2 duo laptop is the winnner

I see what they did. The first one has the best processor but the smallest hard drive. The third one has the largest hard drive and the second best processor of the three, but it is also very heavy.

If I were you, I'd eliminate the third one because of the weight. That leaves 1 and 2, and I would pick the first one. It has a faster processor and is slightly lighter, but it has a smaller hard drive. 80GB is plenty, and if you need more, just get an external HDD or burn data to DVD.

Edit: Upon further review, the first one has Windows XP and the second has Vista. In that case, It's up to which OS you prefer: the New Hotness or the Tried and True. I'd go with Vista.

You have to ask yourself, "what do i want this laptop for" thats the first question.

but over all, i would pick #3 becuase 1, i dont care about the weight, 2, it had a better DVD drive, you can even get the writable CD's and DVD's anf burn a label into them, thats what the lightscriber is, 3, bigger harddrive, i like music and videos, so it has plenty of storage, 4, the prossecer is just a tad more than the other 2, , but the #1 makes up for that in the bus speed, the only thing it lacks it the better sound card that #1 has in it, but over all, the best for me and my uses, is #3, but you may choose the one that best suits your needs, they are all good deals

They are all pretty similar...take your pick...If I had to choose one I would go for number 1. Office Depot is having a blow-out sale this week (mostly rebates that you have to wait a month or two to receive) and is worth checking out before you commit to one of these three.

Go to an Apple Store near you or go online and buy a MacBook.
It will be the best thing you ever need.

I would go with the first one because of the cpu (T5500), but it only comes with 80 GB!!! If you more storage you always upgrade later. Or you can go with the 3rd one!!! I rather have the best cpu possible!!! Hope I could help!!!!

HAVE FUN!!!

the first one, the intel core 2 duo processor is better than the other two listed here, in my opinion. however, it depends how much GBs of hard drive you need. and, it also depends if you want windows vista, which is fairly new.
