If I want to use the pc in my living room I will need a large screen 26inch +.
What is the most cost effective screen to buy as I will need it to display both TV/dvd images along with the computer output.

Save your money ... the TV card will have an S-Video out connector which can go directly to your television.

Invest in a better TV if you wish... not an overpriced 26" LCD screen.

I use the TV for viewing films & the monitor for PC tasks ... both at the same time. The TV clarity for movies or television from the PC is crystal clear.

Then you better get a 26 inch computer monitor because a TV monitor wont be worth a squat! A PC monitor is higher resolution than a TV monitor and the characters, along with the TV pic will be fuzzy at best when viewed on a TV!

make sure you stick with a name brand monitor like Sony, Toshiba, Samsung, etc. If you stick money into a low quality monitor you are just going to have to replace it when you get sick of the low resolution, diluted colors, screen burn in (LCD), etc.
