I purchased a new computer. I will like to transfer emailes and Office files to the new computer. I tried to do this years ago an I was unable to access my old emails.

I just bought an iMac....Wow! Why in the world would anyone want to own a PC? I need some reasons because I think way too many of you are missing out on the ease and smoothness of a Mac.

I currently have a Pentium 4 1.6 Ghz processor and am replacing it with a 2.4 Ghz processor. Currently when I attempt to edit video, the system works very slowly. Will upgrading this processor help? Or do I need to get a new motherboard and a faster processor?

I'm just wondering if with the integrate card, It will be possible for me to play good games likes : World of Warcraft, Guild Wars.
And if I'll be able to change the video card later to put a 7600GS. I've heard that the power suplly isn't enought powerfull. Please answer me quick. Thanks

i have a brand new Toshiba laptop, i left it on last night, just shut the screen. which i have done many times before. but this morning the screen was just blank. so i turned it off, then on again and it boots up to the desktop and then the screen just goes blank. all the cooling fans and light on the power button still on but it just goes blank in the exact same spot every time. i have up to date avg anti-virus and i also didn't have any windows open. im not sure whats wrong with this thing.... oh, and yes its plugged in.

I have seen many ATI display cards with confusing numbers and terms in their product name. Such as X1950XT, X1900XT, X1600PRO...

What does these "XTX", "XT" etc means? And is it true that the display card is more powerful with the higher numder indicated in their name? Such as 1950, 9800?

was in the middle of printing a load os coursework,when my printer (HP deskjet 332) suddenly announced it 'couldn't communicate with my computer'! Have tried the suggestions on screen, and deleting and re-installing software but nothing helps. Any suggestions?

Hi I don't know if there is anything wrong with my DVD burner but now when I insert a disk I don't get the window that used to pop up asking what action you want to preform.
Another thing is the DVDs that I burn Will only play in 1 out of the 6 DVD players I have. I have tried numerous brands of disks but the same thing keeps happening. I am burning avi and mpeg files. Is there any Free software I can get to fix these problems thanks. Also my DVD burner is a DVD - rw drive. I have been using - R discs and I have tried hitting the close button to finalize the disc but this doesn't make a difference.

Im going into Video Editing for College and i need to choose a fast system to help me out with editing my videos. Ive worked with both Mac and PC and i really cant find a reason not to pick one over the other. Ive worked with a PC more throughout my life and i find its easier to find things. However, Mac it seems is more up to date with Video Editing and Graphic Art. Im asking for the actual computer. Not Video Editing Software. What Mac computer would be the best (ie. Mac Mini ...etc) or What Pc would be the best (ie. Dell Desktop). I simply need to find a computer system that would best fit Video Editing.

I just got a new laptop and it has one of the new shiny type screens and it has collected some dust on it. I tried using a tissue to wipe it off but that made it worse. When I try to use my hands it just spreads it around but does not remove it. What is the best thing to use to clean it whithout hurting it? Any help thanks.

why is this SOOO slow?

It seems to take forever to copy, print, and scan anything?

any tips on how to make it faster? I usually copy and print on the lowest print color avail.

May it be my computer itself? I do have a 1998 Acer :)
