Hi I don't know if there is anything wrong with my DVD burner but now when I insert a disk I don't get the window that used to pop up asking what action you want to preform.
Another thing is the DVDs that I burn Will only play in 1 out of the 6 DVD players I have. I have tried numerous brands of disks but the same thing keeps happening. I am burning avi and mpeg files. Is there any Free software I can get to fix these problems thanks. Also my DVD burner is a DVD - rw drive. I have been using - R discs and I have tried hitting the close button to finalize the disc but this doesn't make a difference.

go inside your computer. unplug the cable that connects your drive to the main board. turn it back on and wait for windows to recognize that your drive is gone. turn it off, plug the cable back in, and when you turn on the computer, windows will automatically reinstall the drivers for it, making it usable.
