... to be used by a small family. Mother and two youngsters aged 8 and 5. Brand new but nothing fancy within the £700 mark. Decent graphics, hard drive and memory, printer, scanner,speakers etc.
What are your suggestions?

pc world/comet/currys all do them much cheaper than that

Go to dell, they have a lot of bundle deals going all the time. They are generally cheaper than your department stores and are still reliable for any warranty issues as they are a large company.

I wouldn't buy anything but a Dell computer. I'm on my third computer now, the last purchase 4 years ago was a Dell and I'm totally pleased with it. I wouldn't buy anything in the future but Dell.

woolworths are currently doing a complete system with good spec at £399 and they are great value and good systems,my 2 daughters use one for college work and its running 24/7 and cannot be faulted at all.

go to the local computer shops and see if thy have taken 1 in on trade that you could afford
