G'day,

You cannot use ordinary USB hub to share your USB printer.

2 ways to approach this:
1. Purchase a print sharing device that will enable print sharing from USB connectors (but not ordinary USB hub). This may be similar with the old-style Parallel print sharing, where you can switch connections between computers to a printer (although nowadays it is done automatically).
2. Purchase a network switch with print sharing port (some Netgear products have them). This has the benefit of connecting the 3 computers in the network and connecting the printer independently, which means that the computers can print directly to the printer and you can share files, even internet connection (if you are using router). The catch is that all PC must have ethernet card.
3. Purchase a network switch and share the printer from one of the PC to make it the print server. This is slightly cheaper than option 2, but the printing will be dependent on the print server to be "online" so the others can print.

Hope this helps. Good Luck!

You cannot connect the printer to multiple computers using a USB hub.

An easy way to connect all 3 machines to the printer would be to use Windows Printer sharing and have one computer acting as a print server.

There is an excellent tutorial on how to achieve this here:

Set it up as favourite on between the laptop's...be sure all of it works, then share it--- from the commencing up menu circulate to settings/printers...appropriate click the printer, and there's a sharing decision in there. click the radio button to enable sharing, and supply it a acceptance... the alternative for 'including to listing (if it shows) is basically suitable once you're in an internet site as antagonistic to a workgroup---which i think is the case. From the different laptop, use the 'upload printer' wizard to end off.

Tripp Lite's USB sharing switch allows up to four computers to share one printer,

Just as an example.

OR, you can set up a internet router and network them all together for both Internet access and printer sharing.
