You may have an option in the Firewall settings to let trusted programs through. To turn it off completely is a dangerous thing to do if you don't have your virus program up to date and depending on the sites you visit.

Most likely you need to go to your security setting in McAfee or Nortons which everone you have and turn the firewall off there.Good luck.
