Hi

Has an MCSE , i can tell you that NO , most games are still with XP files made . That means that vista may or may not run it depending on the direct x they are made for , like for instance if you have a game wish uses direct 8 or lower then you may have problems , VISTA comes with direct 10 , wish is NOT with the xp yet , now it also depends on the game it self , first download ANY updates the games have BEFORE even install it

I can tell you now that they dont all work, properly anyway. I was running vista for a few weeks and I found that to get any games to work I needed to install direct x9c over 10, and when I did get the game running it did not run some effects in the game properly, smoke ect. This was when compatibility mode was switched to xp. Vista is not worth running at the moment. I would say wait 6 months, by then patches should be available for most games.

some will run high quality, some will run into minor bugs. If it would not run wisely and you have the window xp os cd. merely deploy the os on a digital device which you will open the working equipment in a pc window whenever you desire to play the game. Microsoft can provide one on there internet site yet i desire to advise vmware participant

It depends on the game.
You must, however, disable the aero feature in Vista or lose 15% performance due to the added strain on the video card.

Microsoft's development team announced this a while ago.
