Ok I have a Kingston memory card for my computer and i need help getting it to come up on my screen all it does is make that noise and then doees nothing.I also have the problem once I got it up one time and i tried to put data on it,is say something like active word lock.Also i have emachines and at the bottom where you but the memory card in it has two spots and i do not know what one to put it in. Does anyone have any idea what is wrong if you know can you please walk me throught it(i have alot of problem lol).Thanks

I'm having problems with my laptop. I reformatted my laptop and now I can't get my dvd drive to work and consequentially I can't install an OS back onto my laptop. I've come up with a plan on how to fix this but I thought I should probably run it by some other people first (even though I am an IT major at PCT). My plan is to buy an enclosure for my laptop HDD, install the OS using my desktop's dvd drive, and then put the HDD back into my laptop. Any suggestions or comments would be appreciated. Thanks!

I have a 40gb hard disk, using it as a secondary slave for data storage, however it shows 37.3gb and I tried formating it with FAT/NTFS even use Compression but same result.Can anyone help me please?

Hi,

I'm looking for a PCI card that would let me plug the RCA jacks into it and then be able to play my PS2 games on my computer monitor. I don't have a TV in my room.. Does something like this exist or am I dreaming?

I installed new cartridges which I ordered from Dell, the company that made my comp & printer. I put the black ink & color cartridge in the same way & they seem to be in there right, but the printer keeps telling me that the color cartridge is missing. IT IS NOT!!! It's in there!!! I can't find any help with this in the instruction manual or on the Dell website. I hope someone on here knows what the heck is wrong.

I just got this new laptop. It's an Hp Pavillion dv6000 with vista. It has a built in webcam. This system came with little to no instructions. I have found out that you can access the webcam with the quickplay button or through windows live messenger, but it doesnt work all the time. I was able to use it this morning, but not now. It seems like it only works at random with either program. Any ideas?

Like when I watch some videos, they take some time to load. I think its the RAM, the laptop only has 504 MB of it. Should I upgrade to 1 GB?

Im going to buy a new video card for my pc because my regular one doesn't work for the following games:
Battlefield 2142
Ghost Recon Advance Warfighter

I've seen instances around this Yahoo Answers page that people are having issues installing AutoCAD on Windows Vista. I NEED AutoCAD for my classes, and didn't know this would be a problem! Can anyone confirm to me that I will have problems with this - I bought this laptop with Vista today, and have 14 days to return it if necessary.

When HP offers customization for the dv6000, the CD/DVD Drive gives you three options: DVD/CD-RW Drive, 8X DVD+/-R/RW w/Double Layer Support, and Lightscribe DVD-RW Burning.

The second option just got me wondering "So does that mean I can't burn CDs but only DVDs?" That would be rather odd to have a drive to burn DVDs and DVD-DLs but not simple CDs.

So yes, does the 8X DVD+/-R/RW w/Double Layer Support REALLY can't burn CDs at all or it is possible but they do not state it?

I have a "Intel(R) 82845G/GL/GE/PE/GV" graphics card according to Microsoft's System Scan. I looked at the motherboard but it seems like (what I believe is the card since the motherboard looks nothing like any screenshots I have seen) the graphics card cannot be removed, as it has a black box surrounding it. I tried to get it out, even unscrewed the screw, but the 'box' is stopping it from coming out. Plus I'm not totally sure if it IS the graphics card. There are 3 PCI ports, and I was wondering if I could in fact use one of those. If anyone needs to I have some pictures of my motherboard if it would help, and I would really appreciate it.

I would use my laptop for:
1) writing (which makes me most scared if I get a Mac about the translating between pc and mac word docs which ive heard can be a hassle)
2) music and dvd
3) some online gaming
4) USB and wireless needed
5) I will probably travel a lot with it, taking it to college etc.
6) durability would be nice, my things can get the rough treatment sometimes
